The Randbøl Local Heritage Museum and Archive in Vandel (Randbøl Sogns Arkiv og Museum) presents household items and decorative art dating after 1850 characteristic of the region. The museum also features a small classroom from the 1930s and a farmhouse kitchen complete with wood-fired oven from around 1900.
At the museum, you can experience exhibitions about the years of occupation under World War II and an exhibition on the town’s boutiques and shops from the 1940s to the 1960s. Special exhibitions are featured with toys from the past century as well as embroideries made by three local generations.
The local heritage museum hosts a traditional Christmas family event with Christmas decoration making and homemade yuletide treats on the first Sunday of Advent. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
The local archive of the Randbøl parish is also housed at the museum.
