One of the many names of Hærvejen is the Ox Road, because the drovers drove the oxen along this road to the fields in the south. Therefore, this last stage is also called 'On the Ox Road'. Here you walk over Gejlå Bridge and past Frøslev Camp, before you arrive at Padborg.

Gejlå Bridge
Gejlå Bridge is a double-arched stone bridge. The bridge was constructed in 1818 and is one of the few remaining bridges along the Ancient Road, also known as the old Ox Road. You can find Gejlå Bridge southwest of Kliplev, north of Bommerlund Plantation, where it still graces the landscape with its historical presence.

Frøslev Camp
In Frøslev Plantation lies the Frøslev Camp, and here you step directly into history. Built in 1944 as a German prisoner of war camp, it was a prison for Danish resistance fighters, and today it is one of the best-preserved prisoner camps in Western Europe.
Frøslev Camp is not just a place of historical significance; it is also a cultural center, where you can explore a range of exhibitions. In addition to the Frøslev Camp Museum, which is located in the Main Guard Tower and a former prisoner barracks, you can visit the Civil Defence League's Info Barrack, the Home Guard Museum, the Nature Agency's nature exhibition, the UN Museum, and Amnesty International's permanent exhibition.
Frøslev Plantation was planted between 1883 and 1900, and it is said that the compensation from the Franco-Prussian War in 1870-71 financed the planting. You can still find dunes and the moist depressions called 'klimper' among the trees.

Bov Church
Bov Church is a Catholic church that was consecrated to the Virgin Mary. The foundation stones of the church were laid between 1050 and 1250, and since then it has been a symbol of faith and community.
When you see the church, you will quickly notice that it has undergone several expansions and renovations over the centuries. In 1668, the nave of the church was extended by three meters, and in 1705 the impressive pulpit was built and placed on the north wall. Originally, the church had two entrances; one for men and one for women. However, as the porch was dilapidated, a new one was built in 1817, and the women's entrance was bricked up.
In 1964, the church underwent a comprehensive renovation, during which the furnishings were renewed, the walls were plastered, and the floor was relaid, and in 1965 the reopening was celebrated with honor, as King Frederik IX attended the event.
