The site is located next to the Pumping Station in Nørrekær Enge, and close to the Wind Farm. The site is also right up the Limfjord.

Nørrekær Enge is a 15 square kilometre diked meadow and wetland area, where there was also a fjord in the Stone Age.

Since the dike in 1947, farmers have grown crops on the meadows, which also contain the protected hill Marbjerg, a burial mound and the holy spring Mariekilde.
