20 wild horses have been released into the nature area at Skindbjerglund.
The horses are of the Exmoor breed, and will graze all year round in the new area of a total of 225 hectares. Here, they will , among other things, transform the former Christmas tree plantation into a species-rich grassland with flowers and great biodiversity. The horses are used to living without human interference, so please be considerate of the animals.
In the summer of 2019, the state purchased a nature area in connection with the existing state nature area, Skindbjerglund. The 2 nature areas become one unified landscape.
There is a central car park, which gives access to lots of natural paths, where you are welcome to walk everywhere, around the clock. Please note that the paths are not marked.
