Whales in Denmark are a rare sight, but in 2018 a large sei whale swam around in Hobro Harbour, and you can actually still find the whale in Hobro. You can experience its large skeleton, which is exhibited at the Maritime Cultural Center.
The building that houses the Maritime Cultural Center is also called the Ship Carpenter's House. Here you can walk around the top of the building, experience the history and read about how the old ships were restored in the old days, as well as how it is all done today.
Hear the full story about the whale here.
If you want to find more stories from Himmerland, you can download the GoLittle app or see them here.
