The wind blows briskly over the waters of the Limfjord. It always has, even when a large part of the people who lived along the Limfjord were fishermen. Life as a fisherman was harsh and with storm surges and wild and violent weather, it was not for the faint of heart. It was hard work, not only for the fishermen, but for the whole family. Everyone helped - including the children - every day.
At the Limfjord Museum in Løgstør in Himmerland, you can dive into history and learn much more about fishing in the old days. You can see how fish were caught, learn about seafaring and trade all the way back to the Viking Age and learn more about life below sea level in the pool, which contains crabs, flatfish, starfish etc.
