The beautiful lake Hvass Sø is a small but yet long lake located in Rold Skov a bit south of the lake Store Økssø.

The lake is surrounded by a variation of coniferous and is artificially founded. The lake was formed in 1959 when the construction of a dam was established.

Hvass Sø is named after the former forest supervisor Jens Hvass.

During spring and summer time the lake is a place where birds and insects love to be. Especially the colourful dragonfly is often seen flying above the lake.

Parking

You can park at Stabelpladsen, Skovvej 68, 9510 Arden. A trail will lead you to the lake.
