Ordstrømmen ved Vejen Kunstmuseum

Ordstrømmen is a very special experience that you can only get in Vejen. In Ordstrømmen it is teeming with small square ceramic tiles - word stones - provided with three-syllable words.

Words that are desired by local citizens in Vejen. Each word has a special story - a special meaning for another person - and thus becomes a small personal meeting. You can try if you can guess the reasons. Ordstrømmen is located in a small alley from Lindegade and leads to the museum square itself and the main entrance to Vejen Art Museum. It could be BI-O-LOG, LIVS-NYD-ER or MAR-CI-PAN. 

The blue ceramic tiles are made by the ceramicist Birgitte Börjeson, who together with her husband runs Fuldby Keramik near Sorø. Here, they make salt-glazed stoneware where the surface is strong and for special applications where great durability is needed. You probably know the old brown pickle jars - it's the same surface.
