XM3 - Rum for Samtidskunst

XM3 – Space for Contemporary Art is a non-profit artist-run exhibition space and cultural platform that has a vision to promote new and experimental contemporary art.

XM3 wants to focus on both local contemporary artists and be in dialogue with the art scene from outside.

The exhibition space has its physical setting and permanent premises in Aalborg East. XM3 will organize and curate 8-12 exhibitions a year.

XM3 was founded by artist Mikael Madsen, who graduated from the Jutland Art Academy in 2008. Madsen grew up in North Jutland, where he has lived for many years and been an active part of the Aalborg art scene. The Artist Workshop Kildevæld, which later became the North Jutland Artist Workshop and the artist-run Galleri Kildevæld.
