On the island sits Enten. The new resident came to Bangsbo in 2015.

Enten are fictional creatures in the author Tolkien's universe. They are known from "The Lord of the Rings." Here, they function as shepherds of the trees, taking care of the tree species to which they themselves belong.

Enten is constructed from iron, styrofoam, and PU foam, with concrete applied on the outside. Finally, it has been painted and given its blue eyes.

Enten was made by the local artist collective Quirky Art, consisting of artists Kim Nielsen and Marianne Godsk. It took 160 hours to create. Originally, Enten was made as a centerpiece for the Bangsbo Flower Festival. It was so popular that it was soon decided that Enten should remain in the Bangsbo area.

Facts about Enten:

- Height 3 meters

- Weight 500 kilos

- Each hand is 90 cm long and 8 cm thick

- The head is 90 cm high

The Trigon Foundation, together with several of the town's citizens and businesses, funded Enten's resting place in Bangsbo. It was transported by truck from the artist to Bangsbo and then lifted by a crane onto the island. Here, it was given a concrete foundation, allowing it to sit comfortably in all weather conditions.

Come out and see Enten and the beautiful nature in Frederikshavn.
