Enten ved Møllehuset

On the island sits Either. The new resident came to Bangsbo in 2015.

 

Either is a fictional creature in the author Tolkien's universe. They are sad from "The Lord of the Rings". Here they act as shepherds of the trees and look after the type of tree to which they belong. 

Either is built of iron, styrofoam and Pu foam, after which concrete has been laid on the outside. Finally, it has been painted and has got its blue eyes.

Either is made by the local artist company, Quirky Art, which consists of the artists Kim Nielsen and Marianne Godsk. It has taken 160 hours to make it. Originally, Enten was made as an eye-catcher for Bangsbo Flower Festival. Here it was so popular that it was an obvious thought that Enten should stay in the Bangsbo area.

 

Facts about Either:

-Height 3 meters

-Weight 500 kilos

-Each hand is 90 cm long and 8 cm thick

-The head is 90 cm high

The Trigon Foundation, together with several of the city's citizens and companies, has financed Enten's resting place in Bangsbo. It was transported by truck from the artist to Bangsbo and then lifted by crane over to the island. Here it has been given a foundation of concrete, so he can stay seated in all kinds of weather.
