Experience craftmanship from the Iron Age in Hvolris Jernalderlandsby. Learn more about how your ancestors lived, while you walk through the beautiful surroundings.
Explore the Sculpture valley and enjoy the exhibition. Take a break in the café and let the children play at the playground. Try out the walking paths, which are also suitable for wheelchairs (with assistance).
Our ancestors have lived in the area since the Stone Age - about 6,000 years ago and until now. Hvolris primarily focuses on the Iron Age in the time around year 0. Uniquely for a historical workshop, you can see archaeological excavations side by side with the reconstructed Iron Age village in the hills at Hvolris.
Experience and try old traditional workmanship. During the summer season different activities are available. Watch or assist the smith, the potter, the wicker worker, the weaver or the wood carver.
Individual arrangements for groups and clubs are possible upon agreement.
