Madpakkehus Rødding Præsteskov

Packed lunch house and campfire hut in a quiet forest area outside southern Jutland's Rødding. 

Beautiful and quiet, this picnic house/campfire hut is located in Rødding Præsteskov between Rødding and Skodborg. Rødding Præsteskov is a typical mixed forest with primarily deciduous trees that do not grow to a very old age because the soil is quite moist in the area. This also explains the many and deep ditches. 

The campfire hut is located in a clearing between tall trees and right by the parking lot. There is room for approx. 20 people at the tables under the roof. The tables are fixed. 

Facilities: fire pit with grill grate, you must bring your own firewood or charcoal from home. It is possible to buy groceries in several places in Rødding, which is approx. 1.5 km away  .

You must park in the parking lot, which you drive into along the forest road that goes from Skodborgvej - just opposite the signposted dog forest. It is free to use the picnic house/campfire hut and the campfire hut cannot be booked and is available to everyone. We therefore hope that all users will find out how to share the space. And that you leave it in the same good condition that you came to. 

Præsteskoven contains varied forest, small streams and a marked path.
