Right next to the rooms is the golf club's restaurant. Here you will find your delicious breakfast every morning and there is also the opportunity for dinner. Please note that the restaurant is not open on Sunday and Monday evenings. There are other food options in Jels. 

There are a number of hiking routes around Jels, including a digitally guided day trip that you can connect to your Hærvej hike. 

Distance to the Hærvej route:
Hiking route: 600 m (from the north) and 1100 m from the south. 
Cycling route: 1.1 km measured from Jels Torv. 

How to find your way from the Hærvej route:
Hiking route: From south to north, you walk along the marked route on Søvej, and approx. 150 m after you have crossed Ørstedvej/Enghavevej, there is a path along the lake to the left. You follow this and then come over to the cycle path along Jarlsvej and later it is called Jels Vamdrupvej. This road you follow until Golfvej goes to the right. From here there are signs for the Royal Oak accommodation. In the short version, you walk left of the lake instead of following the signposted Hærvej route to the right. 

If you come from the north from Hærvejsknudepunkt Skodborg and to Jels, you leave the signposted Hærvej hiking route just when you have crossed the wide Koldingvej. About 20 m after the crossing, the path splits into two. Instead of following the Hærvej-marked path between the trees to the left, turn right, and from here it is about 800 to Royal Oak along a nice smooth gravel path. 

Cycle route: 
From the square in Jels - just opposite the church - you take Jalsvej, this later changes its name to Jels Vamdrupvej and just before it ends in Koldingvej, you have to turn right onto Golfvej.
