In the moat south of the manor house Sønderskov's main building, 2 beautiful water columns or rather water springs spring.
The moat around the main building dates back to 1400-1660.
In the summer of 2005, Sønderskov became an attraction richer, as the director of the company "delta", Svend Aage Christensen, donated two beautiful WHITE WATER – water springs to Sønderskov (inspired by an older term for fountains found on a drawing of the old Christiansborg, delta has chosen to call its fountain facilities water springs). They were placed in the south-facing part of the moat, where they form an evocative feature in Sønderskov's gardens.
In addition to the fact that the water jumps are beautiful to look at, they also have a beneficial effect on water circulation and oxygenation in the moat.
You should be aware that the water jumps may not be in operation when you visit Sønderskov. This is due to the desire to reduce energy costs.
In connection with a major renovation of the buildings in the late 1980s, Sønderskov's original baroque garden was recreated with the characteristic symmetrical lines. The museum has also recreated a section of the manor's historic herb garden, which is run by a volunteer working group and which is located east of the garden.
