Where Slevadvej near Sommersted crosses the Nørreå, the Hærvejen passes over Slevad Bridge. Traces of the Hærvejen show that earlier travelers also used this crossing at Slevad and Oksenvad.
If you look closely, you can see stones from an old ford in the stream at low water, where it was possible to cross the stream when the water level in the Nørreå was not high.
From Slevad Bridge, it is possible to launch a canoe; please follow the signs.
Near the crossing, a sign points to a small burial mound from the Bronze Age. The stone structure seen here is the remains of the burial mound, which is believed to date from around 1,000-500 BC (late Bronze Age).
