Campsite at the top
Velling Koller is one of Denmark's highest campsites, giving you a unique and beautiful view of the area with nature, forest and lakes. The campsite is located close to a wealth of experiences and attractions. You live right at the edge of the forest with access to the primeval forest, which offers swimming lakes, fishing lakes and routes for hiking, horseback riding, running and MTB.
Unique terrain and many activities
Whether you're into MTB, hiking, running, horseback riding or passing through on your cycling vacation, Velling Koller is an obvious choice for you. Enjoy unique terrain and magnificent nature in Denmark's largest continuous forest area. The forests around Velling Koller offer various beautiful running, cycling and hiking routes. On all routes you can explore the primeval forest, enjoy rare plants, see old bogs, experience untouched forest, rich wildlife and refreshing bathing lakes. And that's without being disturbed by motorized vehicles, as cars are not allowed on most of the forest trails.
Take your horse camping with you
You can also take your horse on a camping vacation and go horseback riding in the area. As a guest, you can use the paddock for DKK 100 per day. You will need to provide your own food and utensils, but you have the option of filling the drinking trough with water.
Practical information
On one side of the campsite you'll find a lovely green area with a shared barbecue, fire pit and terrace where you can relax. You'll also find a small playground with a bouncy castle and various activities such as mega chess and petanque.
At Velling Koller you have the opportunity to cook in the service building, where there is a large communal kitchen. In the same building, you also have a laundry service and free Wi-Fi.
