The local artist Claus Frederiksen, aka BurnOn, has with support from Stigsborg P/S created an impressive mural of football legend Henning Jensen.
The work can be seen in the stairwell and elevator stairwell in the Mobility House in Stigborg, which faces north, and which leads from street level all the way up to the Viewing Terrace on the 6th floor, from where you have a fantastic view of the new district of Stigsborg as well as the Limfjord, Aalborg and Nørresundby.
BurnOn is known for making quality art both as street art, gable and wall paintings and paintings on canvas. His works always make an impression on the viewer, as they often appear as a recognizable and raw depiction of reality. At Stigsborg, BurnOn has been inspired by a magical photo titled "Duelo de titanes" at the request of Susanne and Michael (Ulla & Henning's children). Titans are giants that can be attributed to Greek mythology, where they were perceived as pre-Olympian (football) gods!
The mural reflects the intense atmosphere and the irreconcilable and fierce rivalry between F.C. Barcelona and Real Madrid C.F., which is traced throughout Spain and the international football world when the aforementioned cult clubs clash in El Clásico. It is not just an ordinary football match, but rather a ferocious and heroic battle for money, power and glory!
BurnOn has captured the high-tension moment when the Football Angel - Señor Jensen from Real Madrid F.C. - stares down and challenges "Tarzan" Migueli from F.C. Barcelona himself in the middle of the heat of the match. In a split second, Henning considers whether he should make a so-called "panna" (tunnel) by playing the ball between the legs of "Tarzan" or perhaps dribbling right or left around him, to "park" his personal marker and "overcoat"? "Tarzan" probably "only" focuses on how on earth he can tackle the erratic and deadly Dane best and as quickly as possible, so that he doesn't get free and score again?
