Tent site close to Vingsted Lake
The tent site is located above Vingsted at the edge of vegetation facing an open area. There is a fire pit with barbecue. If you want to be sure of dry wood, you must bring your own, but otherwise you are allowed to gather wood from the forest floor for use on the fire pit.
Access to toilet and water at the toilet building in connection with the Iron Age village.
You will find the site by following Bindeballestien from Vingsted Center to the east to the parking lot. From here, the sign shows to the tent site.
The tent site cannot be booked. Access is on a first-come, first-served basis.
On the areas by Vingsted Lake, reconstructed houses from the Iron Age have been built. Vingsted Historical Workshop operates and uses the area for teaching for school students.
The area is open to the public, but show general consideration, and especially if teaching is taking place.
