On the site there are 3 shelters, a fire pit with grill grate and a multi-purpose toilet. The campsite is set up on a large grassy area 200 m from Ballesbækgård on the south side of Rørbæk Lake. The site is partly surrounded by trees and adjacent to a small heath area. Here is also the opportunity to pitch tents. The site is located a few hundred meters from the shore of Rørbæk Lake.
During the summer months (1 May - 1 November), water can be collected at Ballesbækgård, where there is also access to toilets. Access to a multi-purpose toilet on the site all year round - bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. If you want to be sure of dry wood, you must bring your own, but otherwise you are allowed to gather wood from the forest floor for use on the fire pit.
Waste from the shelter site must be brought or delivered in the container at the parking lot.
At Ballesbækgård, visitors can also eat their own food. There are 2 toilets and a disabled toilet. Outside there are tables and benches, a fire pit, boulder grill and handicap grill. There are also hiking trails.
The shelter site is reserved for larger groups in connection with special types of events, such as school, sports or scout events, camps based on a given denomination etc. (minimum 15 people) and must be booked directly via the "Book here" button or via the Danish Nature Agency's booking system. Please note that your booking will be cancelled if you have not arrived at the site by 20:00.
If no one has booked the place, however, it is available to anyone who wants to settle down for a shorter or longer time.
