The nature room is adjacent to the caretaker's residence Russerbakkehus. The room is the size of a classroom, has tables and chairs, as well as a toilet and a small kitchenette. Expect it to be primitive.
The room can be used by organised groups for teaching, meetings, lectures, break or meeting places etc. that are located within the Danish Nature Agency's operational areas nature and outdoor life. The room is not an open packed lunch room/shelter - it is locked - and use requires booking here. The room cannot be booked/used by private individuals. It is not allowed to park at the nature room. Use the parking lot on Russerbakkevej. One car per event can drive into the nature room and load and unload any materials, but must return to the parking lot for parking.
Unfortunately, booking can still only be made from 12 noon to 12 noon. For example, if you need to use the room on Tuesday morning from 8-12, it is Monday that must be booked. If you are going to use the room all Tuesday, you must book both Monday and Tuesday. Regardless of the booking, it is not allowed to spend the night in or in connection with the nature room. Reference is made to the campsite (which can be booked by groups), to the tent or shelter on Skidterisletten or to free camping in the forest. Events in the nature room must end no later than 9 pm and you must have left the place (after cleaning up and sweeping) no later than 9.30 pm. In case of waste beyond "a few apple hulls", you must take your waste with you.
Commercial actors can use the space for the same purposes as organisations for a fee, but must book by finding "recreational nature areas", clicking on Tornby Dune Plantation, choosing book and describing the event and that it is solely or partly about the nature space.
