The shelter is located in Palsgård forest on the south side of Hampen Lake, which is one of the country's cleanest lakes.
On the site there is a fire pit and a small cabin. You must bring your own water and firewood. It is allowed to gather branches on the forest floor for firewood, but trees may not be felled.
The shelter site must be left cleaned, and all waste must be brought out of the forest. Remember to put out the fire before you leave the shelter site.
Fishing is not allowed in Hampen Lake for anyone other than the landowners. Bathing may only take place from the beaches at the west end and northwest corner of the lake.

The shelter site is found by following "Søvej" from the parking lot between Nr. Snede and Viborg at the west end of the lake south of the lake approx. 300 meters.
