Kaj Munk's cross
Hørbylunde Bakke, 7442, Engesvang
The controversial poet priest Kaj Munk was murdered on 4 January 1944 on Hørbylunde Hill, as part of the German counter-terror against the Danish resistance movement.
The place where his body was found was initially marked with a primitive wooden cross. After the occupation, it was replaced with granite crosses.
